My business name is MarMac LLC. I'm the only employee of MarMac. I created MarMac by combining Joseph Martinez and Ruth McKnight last names. McKnight is pronounced MacKnight just not spelled the same.
SO...
MarMac is what I choose.
I created TravelHappyVIP as my brand name. My passion is to Travel the World while being able to work from anywhere.
One month I want to be the in Caribbean doing work from 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm. and then enjoy the culture/area to its full extent.
Another month may be in the mountains same hours but go fishing and hiking.
Even travel overseas to work and explore the area after hours.
No it is not required to have a Brand name. I have a very common name Joseph Martinez with no middle name. So it is very difficult to get anything close without having to put a bunch of random numbers or characters in front or behind my name. I also found out the hard way(at an airport), that the name (Joseph Martinez) is on the no fly list and at one time on the most wanted list. So I chose a brand name to make things easier.
I recommend people try to use their own names if you can. People resonate more with peoples names, pictures, and certain aspect of authenticity.
Social media works the best if you use your name and a picture of yourself or with family. Once people trust you then you can introduce them to your brand if you choose to create one.
It's easier for people to relate with a real persons name than a brand that doesn't have a soul.
